Eventually I plan on getting new heads on it to up the compression, but those are not currently in the budget. I'm running the CCC system and don't intend on swapping it out as I've heard great things about it when its dialed in. A couple complaints I have with it are I have to have it idling at around 1k or it'll stumble and die due to low vacuum, it doesn't make enough power to break the tires loose (top end power is pretty good but I wouldn't mind a little more), sluggish throttle response, and 10-12 MPG. Looking back on it I wish I had picked a different crate, but that's old news now. I was really tired of the smoke show the 305 would put on at start up and got a bit impulsive after not driving the car much in the previous 10 years. A few years ago I installed a brand new 350/290 from GM in my "88 SS.
